Classic Volkswagen Beetle 1300 |

Everyone has a story involving a classic Volkswagen Beetle - weather you've
owned one yourself, or had to cram into the back seat of your friend's for a
road trip, you've experienced this classic. The highlights of my "Vee-Dub" story
include : being stuck in a 24 hour Wal-Mart parking lot in Bakersfield, CA at
2am looking for tools and duct tape to keep my friend's Beetle running so that
we could make it home, push-starting it in the desert with my friend's grandpa's
1970's sedan and franticly jumping in afterwards while trying to keep the engine
running. Yes, we've had our good times, haven't we Mr. Beetle. I modeled this car as a demonstration/assignment for a Hard Surfaces Modeling class I taught at Art Institute, Santa Monica. It was modeled, Shaded and Rendered in 3D Studio Max 2010 with Mental Ray as the Renderer. Polygon count was somewhere around 60k. |
